VeR and EESPA sign strategic Cooperation Agreement

Munich/Brussels, January 2022 — The German Association of Electronic Invoicing (VeR) will present itself as “EESPA Chapter Germany” with immediate effect.

Both organisations share similar objectives to improve the adoption of business document automation in general and e-invoicing in particular. VeR is the representative trade association for e-invoicing in Germany, whereas EESPA represents this industry on European level.


Recommendation for a decentralised approach beneficial to both economic operators and tax administrations for the digitisation of VAT reporting based on Continuous Transaction Controls and electronic invoicing.

This document proposes a next generation model for the reporting of VAT and similar indirect taxes to Tax Administrations, which is fiscally effective and mutually beneficial for stakeholders. It is described as the Decentralised CTC and Exchange Model (DCTCE).

Germany mandates PEPPOL for invoicing to the public sector
